Mr. Hosé is a partner focusing his practice on counseling unions and ERISA multiemployer funds. Mr. Hosé counsels unions regarding internal union governance; union elections; craft jurisdiction disputes; job action; negotiating and enforcing collective bargaining agreements; and the administration of their in-house market recovery funds and jointly managed LMCCs.

Mr. Hosé counsels ERISA multiemployer defined benefit and defined contribution pension funds, welfare funds, and apprenticeship schools regarding regulatory compliance and governance issues, which includes DOL and IRS audits, plan interpretation issues, and fiduciary obligations. He has experience drafting trust agreements; plan documents; negotiating vendor contracts; and representing funds in fiduciary duty and benefit litigation.

He has also conducted investigations and counseled fund trustees in employment matters related to fund office staff. Mr. Hosé also has significant litigation experience on behalf of unions and multiemployer funds in state and federal court and before state and federal agencies.

Mr. Hosé graduated from Michigan State University with honors and the George Washington University Law School with high honors. He is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the AFL-CIO Lawyer’s Coordinating Committee.

He was the Democratic Party of Illinois’ State Central Committeeman from the Sixth Congressional District from 2014-2018 and has served as an elected Commissioner in the Village of Downers Grove since 2013.
